Title:Lecture by Yukari Ito: 3-dim McKay correspondence
Time: 13:30-14:30, Monday, July 29
Venue: Lecture Hall
Speaker: Yukari Ito (Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe)
Abstract: The original McKay correspondence is a bijection between irreducible exceptional curves of the minimal resolution of C^2/G and non-trivial irreducible representations of finite subgroups of SL(2,C). 3-dimensional McKay correspondence needs crepant resolution, and the topological Euler number is related to an invariant in superstring theory. I will introduce these relations and recent developments.
