Seminar by Yalong Cao: Quasimaps to critical loci

  • Date: Monday, March 10

  • Venue: Lecture Hall of IASM

  • Speaker: Yalong Cao (Morningside Center of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences)

  •

  • Pretalk: Why critical loci are important

  • Time: 16:15-16:45

  • Abstract: We review why critical loci are important.

  • Research talk: Quasimaps to critical loci

  • Time: 16:45-17:35

  • Abstract: Critical loci are fundamental objects in geometry, physics and representation theory. In this talk, we will introduce their quantum K-theory by counting quasimaps from curves. Joint works with Yukinobu Toda and Gufang Zhao.
