Seminar by Yalong Cao: Quasimaps to critical loci

Date: Monday, March 10
Venue: Lecture Hall of IASM
Speaker: Yalong Cao (Morningside Center of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences)
Pretalk: Why critical loci are important
Time: 16:15-16:45
Abstract: We review why critical loci are important.
Research talk: Quasimaps to critical loci
Time: 16:45-17:35
Abstract: Critical loci are fundamental objects in geometry, physics and representation theory. In this talk, we will introduce their quantum K-theory by counting quasimaps from curves. Joint works with Yukinobu Toda and Gufang Zhao.
