Abstract: We present several examples on log-concavity in geometry and combinatorics, behind which is the Hodge index theorem.

Abstract: We show how to formulate the extremal problem in log-concavity in the framework of algebraic geometry, and discuss some of our progress towards the conjectural picture. Based on joint work with Jiajun Hu.
