Abstract: We report on joint work with José Burgos and Walter Gubler. Let X be a smooth projective variety over a non-archimedean field. Using tropicalization, one can introduce real-valued forms and currents on the non-archimedean analytification of X. We discuss how these can be used to compute non-archimedean local heights.
