Abstract: In the Pretalk, we will first present a historical overview of characteristic classes for constructible étale sheaves, tracing the theory from its classical cohomological construction to modern microlocal approaches.

Research talk

Abstract: In the Research talk, we will then examine the functorial properties and uniqueness of these classes. Finally, we will conclude by discussing their geometric and arithmetic applications. This talk is based on joint work with Enlin Yang.
